The Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) provides training and certification for electricians installing electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE).
EVITP offers the most comprehensive training for the installation of EVSE available for all markets including: Residential, Commercial, Public and Fleet.
Training is open to licensed electricians in compliance with requirements of state or municipal jurisdictions. Training on local requirements supplements core training when appropriate.

To be eligible for EVITP, a participant must be a state licensed or certified electrician. If the participant works in a state that does not license or certify electricians, the participant must provide documentation of a minimum of 8,000 hours of hands-on electrical construction experience. Upon completing the course instruction, and passing the exam (combined 20 Hours), electricians may be confirmed as EVITP certified by utilizing the “Certification Check” button on the EVITP website homepage.
