The Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) provides the most comprehensive training for the installation of EVSE equipment in North America today. More than a technical installation course, EVITP offers a full overview of the Electric Vehicle industry including an extensive section on Customer Relations & Customer Satisfaction. The Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) provides training and certification for electricians installing electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE).
EVITP offers the most comprehensive training for the installation of EVSE available for all markets including: Residential, Commercial, Public and Fleet.
Training is open to licensed electricians in compliance with requirements of state or municipal jurisdictions. Training on local requirements supplements core training when appropriate.
As an EV Industry collaborative, EVITP industry partner organizations contribute to, and develop, curriculum to train and certify electricians.

To be eligible for EVITP, a participant must be a state licensed or certified electrician. If the participant works in a state that does not license or certify electricians, the participant must provide documentation of a minimum of 8,000 hours of hands-on electrical construction experience. Upon completing the course instruction, and passing the exam (combined 20 Hours), electricians may be confirmed as EVITP certified by utilizing the “Certification Check” button on the EVITP website homepage.
